ReBirth: masterworks of the Renaissance

Savor the lush polyphony of the Renaissance! Enjoy Allegri's long-treasured Miserere Mei, Deus, along with singer-selected masterworks by Byrd, Tallis, Morley, Palestrina, Gibbons, Vittoria, and more. This concert will showcase the diverse talents of our members by featuring many small ensemble arrangements, giving the audience a more intimate experience of some of its favorite music.

Palestrina & Josquin in concert

Josquin’s Missa Ave maris stella and his motet of the same name along with Palestrina’s Magnificat Primi Toni (Liber Primus) and the five-part motet, Hodie beata virgo. The program will also feature a rare performance of a motet by Palestrina’s student, Giovanni Maria Nanino.

Josquin’s Missa Ave maris stella and his motet of the same name set the tone for this seaside summer concert which will also include a luxurious choral setting of the Irish Blessing and John Rutter's A Gaelic Blessing.
